ManganPress Woodbridge, Suffolk · established 2011
We publish short fiction, essays and poetry — eight books a year, because that is how many three people can read properly, edit properly and sew properly.
Every title is section-sewn, printed on paper we choose by name, and bound in cloth in the room where it was edited. Nothing is perfect-bound and nothing is reprinted in a hurry.

A note on how they are made
Mangan Press was founded in 2011 above a framer's shop in Woodbridge, with one title, a borrowed guillotine and a sewing frame bought at a house clearance for eleven pounds. We have grown since then, but not much, and on purpose.
Everything we publish is section-sewn, so it opens flat and stays open. We specify the paper by name and we pay for the good stuff, because a book you can read in one hand at two in the morning is worth more than a book that photographs well. Our covers are commissioned as artwork, not assembled from stock.
We are three people. We answer our own email.
